Hello! So far God has blessed us with 5 beautiful children (1 we will meet in heaven). When we had just 1 boy and 1 girl, that is considered the "all American" family by many people...... Says who? Certainly not God. Often at times, we would get out, & people would comment on our family "Oh, 1 boy and 1 girl, how nice" OR "So you have your pair huh?" As if they are sure they know that we are only having 2 kids, and since they are a boy and girl, we are done. Have only enough children to replace you, no more no less, just 2. This bothers me because So many of us have been listening to the world & think that "we" decide on how many children, When they come and if they come at all. Read this quote from Mel Gibson that I think is just neat to share with you:
Some people I meet (including my family) think we are crazy for choosing to be open to Gods plan, and in our desires to have as many children God chooses to give us (being 10, or 20 or 5). All through the bible you only hear
what a blessing that children and gifts from God. The only curses
you hear about are women being barren. Nowadays it seems the total
opposite. This world we live in teaches that all woman are to "choose"
if they want to have children. How many, and if a child comes at
a difficult time, then kill him or her before he or she has a chance
to grow. Many people do not know that some (or shall I say MOST)
birth control pills are abortificiants. This means you can kill
your baby if you are on this, without even knowing it! Please follow these links for more solid information. Please if you are a Catholic and on Birth control, please remember that it is against the teaching of our Church to be on any BC. NFP is to be used for serious reasons, not for a loop hole. I mention this because some people look at NFP as "just another type of BC" when it is in fact not. God knows better then we do, and if we give Him the power to choose how many, and when our children come along, He will not let us down. HUMNAE VITAE If you are not Catholic please consider what you put into your body. I have a family member who almost died because she had a stroke from the pill. Funny how she was having problems even before her stroke and when she was off the pill, she seemed to be better. She only started getting sick again when she was back on the pill. She almost paid with her life because the doctors will not tell you the truth. She is fine today and is not on the pill anymore. If you are on any BC, please pray and do what you know God calls you to do. Our life is short, and we all must face God alone with the choices we made in this world. Yes we all do have free will, but the free will is to be used to choose to love, and serve God with all your heart and soul. God knows we are weak, and we will still sin, but we are to trust in His mercy. We all have an angel too, to help guide us. Talk to your angel. You may be surprised to get an answer back too!
